BEWARE!!! DO NOT WORK WITH THIS BUILDER!!!! OR BUY ANY HOME FROM THEM!!! THEY WILL NOT COVER YOUR WARRANTY NO MATTER WHAT. PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS BELOW. They have delayed and delayed our claim and then blamed us. We moved in the month of May 2024 in a 2 yr old home with the highest precipitation rates ever recorded in TX. They asked us for our water bill in efforts to get out of warranty liability and then because it rained every day in May and we did not use as much water they said IT IS YOUR FAULT. It rained EVERY DAY IN MAY 2024. I work in construction and in no circumstance should a foundation fail because someone didn’t water their lawn for 2 weeks because it rained every day?!!! THEY IGNORE YOU ALSO AND HOPE YOU DISAPPEAR. John Houston will NOT stand behind you. They were barred in DFW because they had numerous claims unanswered as told by us by 5 neighbors who have now undergone the same Mistreatment that John Houston has to us. DO NOT BUY A HOUSE MADE BY JOHN HOUSTON UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUFFER LIKE I HAVE. THEY ARE PUTTING UP HOMES IN 2 WEEKS WITHOUT PREPPING THE LAND!!! The photos below are from the day we moved in. Cracks and all that were present before being denied that were there the day we moved in!!! First time homeowners!!! We thought this was normal but come to find out we would be blamed for the mistakes made by John Houston. They wouldn’t even fix the gutter problem!!! I truly and deeply regret ever buying a home from a builder who lacks integrity. In addition, 3 of our neighbors with John Houston homes have reached out to me with homes only 1 yr old, CRACKS IN THEIR TILE WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF CONSTRUCTION. Huge foundation problems. If this builder stood by their customers, maybe they would be more reputable and trustworthy. As a Good Samaritan, please please know that your home will fall apart. My condolences to the sorry people running John Houston that take good people’s money and run with it.

Chivon was a tremendous help and still is as we continue to have questions about the new home. She has been extremely helpful as we moved in during the freeze in 2026 and advising us on the septic and sprinkler systems. This John Houston property meets all of our practical needs with the right amount of luxury and sturdiness expected from a Texas home.

Our home-purchasing experience was truly amazing, and much of that is thanks to Austin at John Huston Homes. When he worked with us as the sales person, he supported us with genuine patience, clarity, and a level of ownership that immediately set him apart. He made the entire journey smooth, stress-free, and actually enjoyable something every buyer hopes for but rarely gets. It didn’t surprise us at all to learn that John Huston has now made him a partner. Austin has always carried himself with the leadership, integrity, and customer-first mindset of someone destined for that role. We’re grateful for the care he showed us every step of the way. If you want a builder who stands behind their homes with people who truly care, John Huston Homes and Austin are an easy recommendation.

Building with John Houston Homes was an incredible experience from start to finish. The entire team from sales to design to construction, was professional, transparent, and genuinely cared about getting every detail right. They kept us informed throughout the process, answered every question quickly, and made what could have been a stressful journey feel smooth and exciting. The craftsmanship and quality of the home speak for themselves. Everything feels solid, thoughtfully designed, and built to last. You can tell they take pride in their work. Even after closing, their customer service has been responsive and helpful, which says a lot about how they treat homeowners. If you’re looking for a builder who delivers beautiful homes and truly stands behind their product, I can’t recommend John Houston Homes enough. My wife and I are beyond happy with our new home!

I have had only a few issues in 5 years. A part on my AC went out. Also a small roof leak after all the bad weather over the 5 years. Other than that. The only problem I have is with HOA GOODWIN. They don’t keep up with the notices. They will say it’s your 3rd notice when it’s only your 2nd notice. After the 3rd notice you receive a fine. 🤦🏾♀️
