Bought this house at a good price and there are amazing features and a nice neighborhood however, the trim, doors and basic workmanship inside are substandard! In addition, the warranty department takes weeks and seems to fight every problem by stating “it isn’t really that bad”, you’re kidding me right?! I spent 3/4 of a million on what should be a very nice house, cupboards and the island look like someone painted them with a crayon, they came back and used a spray can from Home Depot to try to “touch up” the bad paint and only made it look worse. Had an electrical short up in the attic at the air conditioning unit which was arcing and could have easily caused a fire! The Fireplace is still leaking gas (after a month of “troubleshooting”) into the wall when you turn it on. Trim at the entryway is off on one side by entire inch and I’m still waiting for them to repair it! Do not recommend Altura Homes!

Altura does not care about you or your house once you have closed. Out microwave oven has not worked properly since we moved in on 8/30/26. We contacted Altura and they referred the issue to the vendor that supplied the microwave oven. The vendor sent the wrong address to Frigidaire so the initial service visit had to be rescheduled because the technician was sent to the wrong house. Since then, Frigidaire had rescheduled multiple times. They did finally get someone out and a part was ordered. But it was sent to the wrong address. Altura has done nothing to assist with this issue. All I have been told is that it is Frigidaire's issue, not theirs. Additionally, the drainage ditch in the front of the property does not drain. Altura came out and cut out our driveway and reset our culvert. Not only did it NOT correct the problem, the repair itself is unsightly. Do yourself a favor- if you are looking for a new home, do NOT buy an Altura home. It may look good, but if there are any issues with it, they will totally forget about you.

We bought an Altura home in the Heath Golf and yacht club this past October and I wanted to get on here to say that our experience has been fantastic. Buying a home almost always comes with frustrations and this is the 5th home i’ve purchased during my lifetime. Now, no builder is perfect but what I wanted to praise Altura for is the quality of service we’ve received after our purchase. We have had several little things that have had to be fixed, adjusted, or worked on and Altura has jumped on them immediately. They have great people who come out and flat out get it done. There is minimal waiting, quality repairs, and great communication. This rarely happens in this industry and usually you are routes to several people, told to go to warranty route, and more. This is the way it should be done on a new home purchase. It keeps the excitement of owning a new home going as well as keeping the frustration away. Appreciate it Altura!

If I could give Altura Homes a zero star review or negative 1, 2 etc. review I would. My experience with Altura Homes has been shamefully bad. In 2023 my family bought a brand new home home from Altura Homes that was about $550, 000 in total. On the surface it seemed like a very nice, well furnished home that all of us were looking forward to creating new memories and a new dwelling in. This is a beautiful looking home after all. As time went on, however, my mom, who already struggled with some health problems started to get dramatically worse, my brother started to come down with unusual lethargy, exhaustion and neurological disconnection. I started to come down with much of the same symptoms plus intrusive brain fog, sharp stinging pain, dizziness etc. that now has gotten to the point where I can't drive or exercise most days. We're now worried for my mom's life. The truth started to unravel August 2024 whenever water started seeping up from the floorboards and, later on, plumbers found that toxic mold of the Aspergillus family was growing inside the kitchen island. We had Altura Homes come out and replace the island and thought that that would be the end of our home maintenance problems but boy were we wrong. Flashforward to 2025 and several mold remediators and inspectors found toxic mold in the HVAC system, the master bedroom closet and the kitchen island once again. The HVAC system was installed completely improperly, with the attic installation accumulating an abnormal about of rust, book sized tears and moisture despite being less than two years old. Altura Homes refused to cover the homebuilding issues and denies that anything is wrong. Because of this we hired an independent party to install a new cleaner HVAC system and we found that it was built in such a way as to cause the ventilation system to be blowing insulation from the attic, industrial grade chemicals and toxic mold on us. The kitchen island was built improperly and the piping systems are installed improperly which means that it'll probably perpetually leak no matter what happens according to an independent plumber we had out here. Altura Homes will not reimburse us or lift a finger to help with these issues so we've had to pay for repairs on our own so far. None of the associates they've had out seem to remotely care about the health issues my whole family is experiencing from their negligent homebuilding. In fact, the advice of one of the bought and paid for HVAC technicians they brought out here was that we should duct tape the system a little more tightly to help it operate better lol. Several of our neighbors have been complaining of whopping issues with their plumbing, flooring, foundations and HVAC systems in brand new homes that Altura Homes has let gone unaddressed. I beg anyone reading this review to not purchase a home from Altura Homes and this company should be splintered, scattered to the winds and devoured by hyenas for their inhumanity and indifference to their customers. Their homes are absolutely not worth the steep price tags for embarrassing amount of tomfoolery and corner cutting that goes into them. I'm sure that every negative word that's ever been spoken about Altura Homes rings truer than any seeking customer could imagine. I absolutely want to prevent anyone from going through what I've gone through and will do anything possible to push back against this corrupt and greedy company.

Horrible construction, poor quality, incompetent and unprofessional builders, lack of accountability, no response from upper management—the list goes on. I’ve worked in real estate for nearly 10 years, and I’ve dealt with many builders—Altura is by far the WORST! Not worth the money, energy, time, or effort. Also, they recommended USA mortgage as their preferred lender and did not honor the incentive amount outlined in the contract. This has to be unlawful—looking into filing a class action lawsuit as I’m sure other consumers have been affected by their lies and deception.
